Novena Pilgrimage 2011

The most inspiring things for me on this Pilgrimage we to see so many incorrupt bodies, to view the miraculous statue of Our Lady of Good Success, and to have Mass said at the Carmelita Monastery. The highlight of the trip was the Holy Mass over the incorrupt body of Mother Mariana. I would rate this trip as EXCELLENT.

Novena Pilgrimage 2011

For me personally…the most impressive aspect of this tour was the true Catholic Spirit, the hospitality of the staff and amazing flexibility. My favorite aspect of the Pilgrimage was our time alone with Our Lady of Good Success each day and the Mass over the tomb of Mother Mariana. I commend Excelsior Tour on your planning and attention to our desires. The guides were very good and helpful….flexible. I would rate this Pilgrimage as EXCELLENT.

Novena Pilgrimage 2011

The most inspiring thing about this Pilgrimage was seeing the incorrupt bodies of the Conceptionist founding mothers, hearing the history of Gabriel Garcia Moreno from Dr. Salazar, and spending time each morning with OLGS. My favorite aspect of the Pilgrimage was the totally Catholic flair of the Pilgrimage, the wonderful accommodations, the delicious meals, and the ambiance. I would rate this tour as EXCELLENT.

This last Pilgrimage is my fourth time with Excelsior Tour. Each time it gets better. The theme on every Pilgrimage is Traditional and the restoration of the church. It is truly like going back in time to the Catholic culture of my youth. The guides are very informative and more importantly…the Priest they offer on the groups really give us the faith. There is nothing like the true Mass in an ancient church. The groups are extremely well organized. I would rate Excelsior Tour as EXCELLENT.

The most inspiring aspect of this Pilgrimage was the religious history and beauty of Quito….AMAZING! I loved the house of the Carmelites. The interview with Dr. Salazar on the history of Garcia Moreno was a pleasant surprise. The guides were excellent, the food was delicious and the city of Quito…a gem. I came on this Pilgrimage to honor Our Lady of Good Success and ended up getting so much more! Thank you Excelsior Tour!

Being able to visit all the beautiful churches and Monasteries in Quito was an unbelievable experience. I have been to Europe and Quito is on the same level. As a Third Order Dominican…..I was blessed to visit both Monastery Santa Catalina and Monastery Santo Domingo offering splendid examples of the rish history of the Dominicans. Of course….my favorite thing was listening to the Latin Mass and offering my personal prayers in these beautiful churches. The guides were excellent and extremely informed not only historically but in iconography and the faith of the people.

Excelsior Tour does a tremendous job organizing Pilgrimages and making sure everything runs smoothly. They helped me put together my own group of over 20 Pilgrims from Australia and pulled it off without a hitch. The art, the Ecuadorian people, the meals and the special day at the 18th Century Spanish Hacienda for Mass and lunch are all something very special. Our guides were fantastic. Excelsior Tour was not remis in anything. We are looking forward to my next group with them!
