Pilgrimage Itinerary

Day 1  Depart from your airport of origin/Quito

Board your flights from your home town and connections into Quito.  Meals are served on board.  Upon arrival in Quito, you'll be greeted by a tour guide and/or driver who will then check you into your hotel Plaza Sucre. Guide will be with your throughout your stay.

Day 2 All Saints Day Holiday in Quito

After our breakfast in the hotel, we visit the Monastery of San Francicso followed by Mass and lunch at the former home of St. Mariana and now the Monastery of Carmen Alto. We will have a tour and then depart on our bus to visit the tomb of San Hermano Miguel and a visit to the Apocolyptic Virgen on top of Panacillo mountain. We end the day with our group dinner.

Day 3 All Souls Day Holiday in Quito/Lima

We will have three Masses on this day beginning with a pre breakfast Mass at a Private Chapel near our hotel.  Then after breakfast, we proceed to the Monastery of Our Lady of Good Success for a tour, questions for the Mother Abadessa, visit to the upper choir loft where the miracle appeared, and finally a Mass over the tomb of the incorrupt body Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres. We then will have our tour of Garcia Moreno where we will visit the Monastery Santo Domingo (where he heard his last Mass), Plaza Grande (assassination site), Cathedral (where he expired), and Monastery Santa Catalina (where his body was hidden for 100 years). We will have our third Mass here. We will have our group meal at lunch in Quito. We will then check out of our hotels and depart for the airport for our 6:30 early evening flight to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima we will check into our hotel Maury.

Day 4 Lima Feast of St. Marin de Porres

We will have an early Mass followed by breakfast. Then, we will join the local faithfull in their processions in the streets of Spanish Colonial Lima for the feast day of St. Martin de Porres. In the afternoon, we will tour Plaza Armas and the Cathedral. We will have our group meal at dinner.

Day 5 Lima

After breakfast, we will tour Monastery Santo Domingo and then the home and now church of St. Rosa Lima. We will have our Mass there. In the afternoon we will visit the Church of Las Nazarenes and finish with La Merced. We will have our group meal at dinner.

Day 6 Lima

After our early morning Mass and breakfast we will tour the Jesuit Church of San Pedro and the Palacio de Gobierno (Pizzaro´s house) In the afternoon we board our bus to visit the Pre Inca ruins of Huaca Pucllana with its famous Pyramids and remains of the human sacrifice altars which were partially destroyed by Spanish Conquistadors. We then have a brief stop at the Indigenous market at in Miraflores. We will end our day with a sunset dinner overlooking the ocean of Miraflores at Lacomar.

Day 7 Lima/Quito

After our morning Mass and breakfast, we depart on the large procession with the local faithful in the streets of Colonial Lima for St. Judas Todeo. After our group lunch, we will then tour the Monastery of San Francisco and its famous catacombs. We will then check out of our hotels and depart for our 10:00 late evening flight back to Quito. Upon arrival in Quito we check back into our former hotel Plaza Sucre.

Day 8 Quito

After our breakfast, we start our tour at the Basilica and the chapel with the preserved hearts of Garcia Moreno and Archbishop Checa y Barba. We then visit the Jesuit La Compania church (notably the finest in Latin America) where the miracle of La Dolorosa actually occurred in 1906.  Then, we will drive to north Quito for the St. Gabriel School where the original image currently rests. We will have our afternoon Mass there in front of the image. We will then return back to Colonial Quito for our farewell dinner.

Day 9 Departures

Check out of hotels transfer back to airport for departing fights.
