Pilgrimage Itinerary

Day 1  Depart from your airport of origin/Lima

Board your flights from your home town and connections into Lima.  Meals are served on board.  Upon arrival in Lima, you'll be greeted by a tour guide and/or driver who will then check you into your hotel Maury. Guide will be with your throughout your stay.

Day 2 Tour of Lima

After our early morning Mass and breakfast, we will  visit the highlights of Lima: the Plaza de Armas, Cathedral and Santo Domingo (St. Martin de Porres).

Day 3 Tour of Lima and flight to Arequipa

After our early morning Mass and breakfast, we will tour the famous Monastery of San Francisco with its catacombs. We will then check out of our hotels and depart for the airport for our 3:15 flight to Arequipa.  We will check into our hotel San Agustin located adjacent to Monastery Santa Catalina. You will have some free time after check in to walk this ancient Spanish Colonial town before our dinner.

Day 4 Tour of Arequipa

After our early morning Mass and breakfast, we will tour this quaint Colonial town nestled between the Vocanos of the Andes. We will visit all the major Churches and including various Spanish Colonial era houses that have survived the many earthquakes with their unique artchitechtual designs. We will end the day with our dinner

Day 5 Cuzco

We depart early for our 6:50 morning flight to Cuzco. After checking into our hotel Don Bosco, we will have our breakfast upon arrival and spend the day touring the major religious shrines of the town. We will have our late afternoon Mass before dinner.

Note; Due to the high altitude of Cuzco and the planned ascent into Machu Pichu the following day, this first day in Cuzco may be one of rest and relaxation amongst the Colonial confines of the city. Nonetheless, we have a planned walking tour but can be taken at your own pace.

Day 6 Machu Pichu

We begin our day with an early morning Mass followed by breakfast in the hotel. We leave for this all day excursion at 7:00 which starts our day with a ride up the famous train to Machu Pichu.  We will spend the day with our guide touring the ruins and have our box lunch at the site. We return back on the train to Cuzco around 8 p.m.

Day 7 Cuzco/Lima

We depart Cuzco early for our 6:50 flight to Lima. Upon arrival into Lima we will have our breakfast and check into our Lima hotel Maury.  We will then set out for a tour of the church and former home of  Saint Rosa Lima and have a noon Mass at the church. In the afternoon we board our bus to visit the Pre Inca ruins of Huaca Pucllana with its famous Pyramids and remains of the human sacrifice altars which were partially destroyed by Spanish Conquistadors. We will end our day with dinner overlooking the ocean cliffs of Miraflores at Lacomar. 

Day 8 Lima

The feast day of St. Rosa Lima is one of Latin Americas largest public expression of the faithfull. After our morning Mass and breakfast, we will follow the local faithfull in the streets of Spanish Colonial Peru in procession from the Monastery of Santo Domingo to her Church. We will then have the afternoon off for free time.

Day 9 Lima/Departures

After our realy morning Mass and breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our mid morning airport departure at 10:30.
